Another event to provide and distribute free personal protective equipment (PPE) to small businesses and non-profits will be held September 23 and 24 at the Spokane County Fairgrounds. The event is coordinated by Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) and Spokane County, to assist Spokane County small businesses and non-profits, reduce barriers to reopening and continue operations to keep employees and the public safe. Spokane County uses CARES Act funds to purchase the PPE. This free distribution event, called OPENTogether, provides small businesses with 49 and fewer employees and non-profits of any size with PPE supplies, including hand sanitizer, disinfecting cleaner, and both disposable and cloth facial coverings. Non-profits are encouraged to secure disposable masks for their volunteers to use to enable continuity of community volunteer support for our region.
